About me

Biographical stuff first:

  • I was born in 2003 in central Italy, where I still live.
  • I do love bullet points.

Before going on with the boring stuff, let’s talk about what this blog should really be about: I have a wonderful Mexican Fender Strat, a marvellous 7-strings Cort EVL-z47 and an Epiphone SG Goth (she’s the newcomer so no flattering compliments for her).

I play in a Metal band, but my soul belongs to the Blues.

If I was asked whether I’d prefer reviving 50,000 random people unfairly dead during a terrible war or reviving Stevie Ray Vaughan…
I’d play SRV for the revived 50,000, but it took me a couple of seconds to decide whileI I’m writing this.

Headbanging hides my face, but that’s me playing live

Some other things you might have to know about myself is that:

  • I’ve been into bodybuilding until something popped in my back.
  • I’m a huge UFC fan.
  • I’ve always been very keen about italian politics and i’m a member of an italian political association (not a party).
  • My favourite movie is The Godfather Part II

Cool stuff gone, now let’s focus on the Pareto’s 20% :

I’m pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Management Engineering at the University of Perugia, which is ending in 2025.

Two extremely important things happened during these 3 years:

  • I had my first approach with programming.
  • I joined a pretty well-know italian/swiss streamer’s “loyal fans” community. We’ll talk about this more deeply.

Those two events made my brain click: 1) I discovered a completely new world, which, until that very moment, i thought was completely unaccessible to “non geniuses”*, and 2) in the meantime, I found a place where a bunch of cool people is willing to friendly share their knowledge with me! Bingo!

*

keep in mind that, from where I come from, nobody has ever even thought about teaching some kids how computers work, since Latin is the only important piece of culture.
Until 2 years ago, people who programmed, in my mind, looked like this:

Fast forward to April 2024, i -completely randomly- started live streaming myself doing some Python leetcode, sharing that with my cool and expert people community, receiving feedback and creating increasingly stronger bonds with them.

The live-streaming thing becomes increasingly more solid, i can use feedback to improve content, using better content as the key for always more and better relationships: content creation becomes my main hobby**.

**

My actual main “hobby” is playing the guitar, but I see it as more than that.

Final jump to January 2025: I find out how cool writing is! No jokes, everybody should take 2 hours/week to write something. When I saw how cheap it is to host a personal website, after a friend of mine started his own blog, I just thought “why not?”.
